Creativity in Care 2018


Care England is delighted to announce we are partnered up with ITN Productions to produce an in-depth news and current affairs-style programme to stimulate debate around issues affecting health and social care, highlighting the great work that is going on in the sector to drive innovation and build a sustainable workforce.

With an ageing population, there is increasing pressure on social care. Rising demand for services with higher costs, partnered with limited budgets, is placing strain on the system. ‘Creativity in Care’ highlights how smart spending and a creative approach to funding, could help address some of these issues and challenges, showcasing a variety of projects and programmes designed to make vital changes in society and drive innovation in the sector.

The programme explore creative strategies for recruiting and retaining care staff, as well as showcasing technology to support them, making services more flexible with the aim of producing better outcomes.

Drawing upon ITN’s 60 year heritage and expertise in storytelling, ‘Creativity in Care’, anchored by national newsreader, Natasha Kaplinsky and combine a mixture of news items, editorial profiles and studio feature interviews.

‘Creativity in Care’ launched at the Care England annual conference ‘Logging on’ at Church House, London on 14th November 2018. The programme form part of an extensive communications campaign featuring Care England members and professional partners, journalists, writers, bloggers and relevant government departments.
