Managers are Existing but not “Living”

To use an old analogy, social care providers are the dog that everyone is kicking – the regulator, commissioners, ONS, DHSC, PHE etc. In an unbridled way to fit their own narrow agendas, these masters/stakeholders demand more. Fine, except as the cliché goes – care is broken. Covid, supply chain disruptions and massive wage inflation linked to labour scarcity at the lower end of the employment chain, with little prospect of reasonable fee increases, has made the dog sick to the extent that it’s in survival mode.
