nd Panel Discussion\n\nJoin us at Watershed Cinema for a special event f
eaturing the screening of the documentary Care - a new documentary film
exploring life\, love and loss on the frontline of care - all filmed entir
ely by a team of care home staff. See below for a trailer and more details
.\n\nThe film screening (37min) will be followed by panel discussion and Q
&amp\;A (40min). The event is free but space is limited\, so please regist

, kicking off in April as part of #CelebratingSocialCare Month.\n\nThe fil
m and tour are call to action to improve working conditions for care staff
\, and welfare for residents\, through giving a voice to care workers to s
upport change in care-related policy and public awareness.\n\nFilm Synopsi
s:\n\nCARE tells the story of one residential care home as they emerge fro
m the pandemic.\n\nFilmed entirely by the staff in the home\, it shows tha
t life can be joyful at any age\, as the residents celebrate their own mil
estones\, from 100th birthdays to winning at bingo\, enjoying Christmas pa
rties and joining in VE Day anniversary celebrations. The film raises ques
tions about how we as a society value older people and those who care for
them\, giving an emotional first hand insight into life in the home\, and
those who bring such commitment and heart to residential care\n\nThe film
is a tribute to the resilience of the residents and the dedication and com
passion of the carers. Told through their own words\, experiences (and new
ly learned camera skills)\,  the film shines a light on the unsung heroe
 s of social care.\n\nFilm Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW6HBM
