DESCRIPTION:\n\nOverview of session:\n\nIn 2015\,  the phased withdrawal o
 f ISDN and PSTN services was confirmed\, signalling the end of traditional
  analogue phone lines. As a result\, all voice calls and connected service
 s will soon need to operate over an internet-based (IP) connection. While 
 the final switch-off may still feel some way off\, preparation cannot be l
 eft until the last minute.\n\nFor care homes\, early planning is essential
 . Having the right broadband and digital telephony in place ensures you ha
 ve the speed\, resilience and capacity required to support day-to-day care
  operations\, staff communication and critical services without disruption
 .\n\nImportantly\, the digital switchover goes far beyond phones. Many sys
 tems still rely on analogue lines\, including intruder and lift alarms\, t
 elecare and nurse call systems\, emergency red phones\, EPOS machines\, CC
 TV\, and even some half-hourly electricity meters. If these systems are no
 t identified and upgraded in advance\, they may simply stop working when a
