DESCRIPTION:\nOverview of session:\nIn 2015 BT announced they will be switc
 hing off their ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) and PSTN (Public
  Switched Telephone Network) services\, which will result in traditional l
 andline connections ceasing and voice calls in the future needing to be ma
 de over IP.\n\nCare homes will need to ensure they have a suitable broadba
 nd and telephony service in place and activated prior to the switchover to
  avoid a complete loss of phone service.\n\nIt is imperative that care hom
 es are prepared well in advance due to infrastructure degradation\, reduce
 d engineers and geographical areas migrating earlier than others.\n\nIf yo
 u have other systems connected to your phone line\, such as intruder and l
 ift alarms\, telecare systems\, Emergency Red Phones. Epos machines\, CCTV
 \, or even some half-hourly electricity meters\, then they’ll stop worki
