SUMMARY:Right to Work Rules: What Care Providers Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:\n\nFrom 1st October 2026\, significant changes to the UK’s R
ight to Work Scheme will come into effect\, expanding the circumstances in
which organisations are required to carry out right to work checks.\n\nFo
r the first time\, the legal requirements will extend beyond traditional e
mployees to certain other working arrangements\, including individuals eng
aged under worker contracts and individual subcontractors. For care provid
ers that rely on flexible staffing arrangements\, agency workers\, contrac
tors or other non-standard working models\, understanding where responsibi
lity sits will be increasingly important.\n\nWith the changes approaching\
, organisations should be reviewing their recruitment\, onboarding and com
pliance processes now. Failing to carry out the correct checks can leave a
n organisation exposed to civil penalties and wider compliance consequence
s.\n\nThis practical webinar will explain what is changing from 1st Octobe
r and what care providers need to do to prepare. We will look at who falls
within the expanded Right to Work Scheme\, when checks need to be complet
ed\, the different methods of conducting a compliant check\, and how emplo
yers can establish and maintain a statutory excuse.\n\nAttendees will also
gain practical guidance on common Right to Work mistakes\, record keeping
\, follow-up checks\, digital verification and how to strengthen internal
processes ahead of the new rules.\n\nThe session is designed to help care
providers understand their responsibilities\, identify potential gaps in t
heir existing procedures and take practical steps towards compliance befor
 e the changes take effect.
