SUMMARY:Service Level Agreements in supported living settings: What provide
 rs need to know
DESCRIPTION:A recording of the webinar can be reviewed below\, and a copy o
 f the slides here.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/Nsi-tcduSZg\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAre you i
 nvolved in specialist supported living arrangements?\n\nWhether you're a r
egistered provider or a service provider\, getting your Service Level Agre
ements (SLAs) right is essential\, but often overlooked.\n\nAttendees join
ed us for a practical and insightful webinar where we unpacked the key leg
al\, commercial\, and operational considerations that we needed to know wh
en negotiating SLAs.\n\nWhat attendees learnt:\n\n An overview of the cur
rent supported living market\, including key trends\, risks\, and challeng
es\n What can go wrong\, with SLAs and how to avoid common pitfalls\n Be
st practices\, for drafting and negotiating SLAs that protect all parties\
n Live Q&amp\;A session\, your chance to put questions directly to our ex
pert speakers\n\n&nbsp\;\nPlease see question that was not answered during
the webinar:\nQ:  “The new supported housing regulatory oversight act
it states that all services have to be licensed. Does the panel know who t
he licence will sit with\, the landlord or the local Authority “\n\n&n
bsp\;\n\nA:  As consulted on earlier this year\, the legislation provides
that the local authority must set up a new licencing regime and all suppo
rted exempt accommodation will need to be registered with them in order to
operate. The person/ entity that needs to obtain a licence is the person
“having control of or managing the supported housing” so the vast majo
rity of scenarios I’d envisage that this will mean the housing provider
(landlord) will be the one that registers with the local authority (as the
care provider should be able to demonstrate distance from the housing man
agement elements). The expectation appears to be that each “scheme” wi
ll need to register – so it won’t be a registration for each unit\, bu
t rather for each building / scheme.\n&nbsp\;\nShould you wish to discuss
any of the points raised or have further questions\, please contact:\nDani
