SUMMARY:The Four Pillars for Happier\, Healthier Residents
DESCRIPTION:A recording of the webinar can reviewed below\, and a copy of t
he slides can be found HERE.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/zK_HPPiuXXM\n\n&nbsp\;\n\
nGood nutrition\, regular movement\, meaningful social connection and effe
ctive recovery are all recognised as important to healthier lives in care.
The challenge is that they are often looked at in isolation\, when in rea
lity they are closely connected.\n\nA poor night’s sleep can affect appe
tite\, mobility\, mood and willingness to take part in activities the foll
owing day. Reduced movement can affect strength\, independence and social
connection. Changes in nutrition can influence resilience and recovery. Wh
en one pillar is weakened\, the effects can be felt across the others.\nIn
this webinar\, Thomas Tredinnick\, CEO and Co-Founder of Ally Cares\, exp
lored the Four Pillars for Happier\, Healthier Residents: nutrition\, move
ment\, social connection and recovery. Drawing on evidence and experience
from care homes\, he looked at how these factors interacted across the ful
l day and night\, and why recovery could have a disproportionate impact on
safety\, wellbeing and daytime care.\nThe session considered what care pr
oviders could learn by looking beyond individual incidents or intervention
s and instead building a more complete picture of a resident’s health an
d wellbeing. Tom also explored how better information could help care team
s recognise changes\, understand patterns and make more informed decisions
about care.\nAttendees left with a practical framework for thinking about
resident wellbeing as an interconnected system rather than four separate
areas\, and a clearer understanding of how strengthening one pillar could
help strengthen the others.\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\nShould you wish to di
scuss any of the points raised or have further questions\, please contact:
