SUMMARY:THE INTEGRATED CARE SUMMIT NORTH: CHALLENGES AND BEST PRACTICE
DESCRIPTION:The Integrated Care Summit North: Challenges and best practice\
 n\nIntegrated care is about giving people the support they need\, joining 
 up across local councils\, the NHS\, and other partners. It removes tradit
 ional divisions between hospitals and family doctors\, between physical an
 d mental health\, and between NHS and council services.\n\nICSs (integrate
 d care systems) are seen by NHS leaders as the future of health and care i
 ntegration in England. The NHS Long Term Plan and now the Government’s w
 hite paper on health and care reform both place ICSs at the heart of the N
 HS.\n\nAs of April 2021\, there are 42 ICSs covering every area in England
 . All 42 are expected to be fully operational by April 2022. The ongoing d
 evelopment of ICSs presents both challenges and opportunities for doctors.
 \n\nOur upcoming event will provide NHS healthcare leaders from across pri
 mary\, social and secondary care sectors with a secure and high-value plat
 form to discuss the key challenges and benefits of the integrated care str
