Care England Welcomes Sir Mike Richards as Preferred Candidate for CQC Chair

Care England, the leading voice for adult social care in England, welcomes the announcement that Sir Mike Richards has been named the Government’s preferred candidate for Chair of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Sir Mike’s appointment marks an important moment for health and social care regulation. With a distinguished career spanning clinical leadership and regulatory roles, he brings not only expertise but also a deep appreciation of the challenges facing the social care sector.
