One in five people in the UK will become disabled in their lifetime.

For more than 75 years, Leonard Cheshire have worked directly with disabled people to give them the freedom to live their lives the way they choose, with the opportunity to fully take part in society.

Today, our staff provide social care services that support disabled people across the UK to have greater levels of independence. Some of the people we support have very complex needs, requiring specialist nursing.

In addition to offering high-quality care and support, we lead campaigns to influence government to implement legislation that positively benefits the lives of disabled people. As well as fighting for disabled people’s rights, we work with partners to deliver support and life-changing employment programmes.
