The origin of our company, Ryde House Group, dates back to 1986 when we started with just Ryde House and Ryde Cottage. At that time, we were able to offer residential care to a modest 29 individuals, along with accommodating some cows and chickens that came with the property. Over the years, we gradually expanded our capacity to support more people. Our first expansion was the establishment of day services, which eventually evolved into Willow Village. In the 1990s, we added Clifton Cottage and Woodville to our roster. The new millennium brought the addition of Newton Lodge to our growing family.
Our most ambitious project to date has been the development of Players Copse, which comprises Beech House, Silver Birch, Maple Tree, and Sycamore House. These four purpose-built care homes embody our commitment to addressing the Isle of Wight’s growing care needs and represent a significant investment for our organisation.
