Cai joined Care England in August 2024 after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Politics & International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London. Social Care is of great importance to him, having grown up in Cardiff with first-hand experience of being an unpaid young carer for his father with a long-term disability.
Cai has had previous experience in the office of the Welsh Minister for Social Services and organising political campaigns. He was elected to Runnymede Borough Council in May 2024 and brings a valuable perspective to the team as a member of a local authority. At Care England, he has special interests in local government and the work to prepare for the adult social care sector’s Fair Pay Agreement.
