The Cygnet Group

Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.

Through our values of Integrity, Trust, Empower, Respect and Care we take pride in the services we offer and the outcomes we enable individuals in our care to achieve.

Our expert and highly dedicated care team of 10,685 employees support 2694 individuals across 150 services to consistently make a positive difference to their lives.

We maintain a good relationship with our quality regulators and undergo regular inspections, with 81% of our health care services rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

As a national care provider, with a network of professional and high quality services across the UK, we are able to offer solutions and work in partnership with the NHS, ICBs and local authorities to provide the services they need including emergency and planned admissions. Alongside this we are able to provide robust and quality data and CQUIN reporting.

We have over 30 years’ experience in providing specialist mental health treatment, rehabilitation and support in service user focused environments that provide evidenced, quality health care in national and regional care pathways. We’re proud of genuinely leading in service user involvement and being focused on proven clinical outcomes driven by the extensive therapeutic programmes in all of our hospitals.

And as part of the UHS family of health care services, Cygnet continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of service users, their families and carers and those who commission our services.
