Care Roadshow

Leaders in adult social care will unite to share practical solutions on recruitment, retention and reform.

Workforce pressures continue to dominate the adult social care sector, with providers across the UK facing ongoing challenges around recruitment, retention and staff wellbeing.

This May, Care Roadshow North West and Midlands 2026 will bring together care leaders, operational teams and policy voices in Liverpool on 12 May and Birmingham on 14 May to focus on practical, real-world solutions that support services all the way from leadership roles, down to front-line staff.

Across both events, an expert-led free CPD seminar programme will explore recruitment, retention, workforce wellbeing and regulatory change, alongside wider discussions on innovation and quality of care.

Addressing Workforce Challenges

A key focus of this year’s programme is workforce sustainability, from recruitment and retention through to training, immigration and regulatory pressures.

The session “Recruit, Retain, Thrive: Strengthening the Care Workforce” will bring together sector leaders to share practical approaches currently being used across services to address staffing challenges and build more resilient teams.

Contributors include leaders from organisations such as We Care Group, Right at Home UK, The Abbeyfield Society, Forest Healthcare, The Good Care Group, Kara Healthcare, Lifted and Borderless, offering insights from both operational and specialist workforce perspectives.

The session will focus on real-world strategies to help providers navigate an increasingly complex workforce landscape and support long-term stability across teams.
