Sajid Javid outlines ’10-year vision’ for social care at Care England conference
The Health & Social Care Secretary laid out the government’s 10-year vision for social care at Care England’s Facing the Future conference in London yesterday. Sajid Javid spoke to care leaders at the Church House Conference Centre in Westminster following the Chancellor’s Spring Budget announcement. Outlining the government’s plans for reform, including the Health & Social Care Levy and a Fair Cost of Care, the Health & Social Care Secretary said: “The pandemic has taken us to a crossroads. A point where we can no longer ignore the major choices that have loomed large for so long. Care leader says staff deserve a national minimum care worker wage
Care workers should be rewarded for their hard work with a new national care worker minimum wage, Karolina Gerlich, the executive director of the Care Workers' Charity has revealed in an exclusive interview.
