Care England has published updated guidance outlining the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) salary thresholds for 2026, setting out the minimum pay requirements providers must meet when sponsoring overseas workers in adult social care.
The Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed that the salary thresholds for Certificates of Sponsorship for care workers and senior care workers will remain unchanged for 2026/27.
While this provides short-term clarity for providers, it does not offer longer-term certainty, and Care England remains concerned about the wider workforce and financial pressures facing the sector.
Care England continues to engage with Government on immigration policy and its impact on adult social care, while also supporting members with individual sponsorship and compliance issues.
