Following the success of the Extreme Weather Preparedness event held earlier this year, The Outstanding Society is delighted to bring together colleagues from across adult social care, alongside national partners including UKHSA, DHSC and CQC, for a timely discussion on winter resilience.

As the sector prepares for increased seasonal pressures, this collaborative event will provide an opportunity to hear the latest national updates, share learning and explore practical approaches to strengthening resilience across adult social care services.

Topics will include:
❄️ Winter resilience across adult social care
💉 Vaccination offers to protect yourself, staff and those you care for
🦠 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) developments, including updates on the new IPC resource for adult social care
🤝 National priorities and opportunities for partnership working across the sector

This extended 90-minute session has been designed to maximise discussion and engagement, allowing delegates to ask questions, share experiences and contribute to a collective approach to winter resilience.

During the session, we will also share plans for our 2027 preparedness programme, including a Heatwave Preparedness Webinar and a dedicated adult social care session at Care Show London.
