Care England is proud to partner with Diane Danzebrink—renowned menopause campaigner, educator, and founder of Menopause Support –  to offer this series of free, on demand, menopause awareness webinars, to everyone working in the care sector, plus free one-to-one menopause consultations for care workers facing financial hardship. Whether you’re struggling with symptoms, unsure what’s happening to your body, or feel dismissed by your GP, you’re not alone and support is available.

Free 1-1 Support

If you are facing financial hardship, you could receive a free, one-off, 45-minute confidential consultation via phone or video with a trained menopause advisor. To apply please complete the form below.  This is also available to book below if you wish to pay for this session.

You’ll receive:

  • A safe space to talk about symptoms and ask questions

  • Clear, evidence-based information on HRT and alternative treatment options

  • A GP letter (if needed) following the consultation

 

Who Is This For?

This support is open to anyone working in adult social care who is currently experiencing:

  • Perimenopause or Menopause

  • Premature or Early Menopause

  • Surgical or Medically Induced Menopause

  • Post-Menopause

You must also be facing financial barriers to accessing private menopause care.

 Session 1: Understanding Menopause

This introductory session offers a clear, supportive overview of what menopause really is—dispelling common myths and helping attendees feel informed and empowered.

In this session, Diane will explore:

  • What menopause is and when it happens – including perimenopause, natural menopause, and surgical or medically induced menopause

  • Why everyone’s menopause journey is different – from symptom types and intensity to timing and triggers

  • The most common symptoms – including hot flushes, irregular periods, fatigue, anxiety, brain fog, and more

  • How symptoms can affect work, wellbeing, and relationships

  • What support is available – including an overview of the free 1:1 consultations and Care England’s commitment to better menopause awareness in social care

🗨️ Perfect for anyone unsure whether they’re experiencing menopause or seeking to better understand the basics before diving deeper.

Session 2: The Diversity of Menopause

Menopause is not one-size-fits-all. This session focuses on the unique ways menopause can affect people based on their age, health, background, and identity—with an emphasis on inclusion and understanding.

Key topics will include:

  • A deep dive into perimenopause – how it can begin years before periods stop, early warning signs, and what to watch for

  • Menopause in underrepresented groups, including:

    • People with disabilities and learning disabilities (e.g. earlier menopause in women with Down’s syndrome)

    • People with neurodiversity (e.g. ADHD, autism) and heightened hormone sensitivity

    • Cultural perspectives and stigma around menopause

    • Gender-diverse experiences, including for trans men and nonbinary people

🗨️ This session is ideal for those wanting to understand how menopause affects different people—and how workplaces can be more inclusive in their support.

Diane has recorded an introduction to developing a breathing practice, including a very simple exercise to help you start to connect with your breath and experience how you can begin to feel a little calmer in just a few minutes.

 Session 3: Managing Symptoms – Mental & Physical Wellbeing

This practical and compassionate session focuses on navigating the mental and emotional impact of menopause, alongside strategies for physical symptom management and overall wellbeing.

This session will cover:

  • Mental health symptoms – such as mood swings, anxiety, depression, low confidence, and brain fog

  • The hidden toll of menopause at work – and how to manage pressure and expectations

  • Stress management techniques and self-care tools

  • When and how to seek professional help, including advocating for yourself with healthcare professionals

  • Options for symptom relief – from lifestyle changes and complementary therapies to HRT and medical support

🗨️ A must-watch for those struggling with mental wellbeing or anyone supporting colleagues or loved ones through menopause.

 Session 4: Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM)

This practical session explores the following themes:

In-depth exploration of key symptoms related to urological and vulval health.

• Understand urosepsis and UTIs, including their impact on brain health.
• Gain insight into the “light bulb” moment about painful sitting and the importance of addressing it.
• Learn about the role of local oestrogen in relieving vulval and vaginal pain and discomfort.
• Discover how 70–80% of women may experience these symptoms later in life.

This session outlines practical, simple interventions to ease discomfort and improve quality of life quickly.

Session 5: Menopause and the Workforce

This session is designed to improve communication and support in the workplace, offering practical strategies for both managers and staff.

• Guidance for managers and supervisors – Understand what actions and mindsets are most effective when supporting staff.

• Support for staff members – Learn how to confidently and effectively approach your manager.
